Parliament condemns anti-semitism

PARLIAMENT today unanimously passed a resolution condemning anti-Semitism and all forms of racial hatred, persecution and discrimination. It was triggered by the two attacks in three weeks on Jewish cemeteries in Wellington, and will be sent to the Speaker of the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, with a record of the speeches by party leaders.

Press Club not what it seems

CONTROVERSIAL British historian David Irving's invitation to speak in New Zealand at the National Press Club has highlighted disquiet about the organisation's name. Irving yesterday told the Herald he agreed to speak at the club next month after being contacted by committee member Alistair Gustafson.
