BART Police Shooting in Oakland - KTVU report

by a Special Action Report Correspondent

[BART is San Francisco's Bay Area Rapid Transit system]

IN between Inauguration Day and the Davos Economic Forum (two news headline grabbers) we will have to endure Holocaust Saturation Day again.

Here's a news item that has been brewing for over a week in the Bay Area [San Francisco] but the TV media have apparently been trying to suppress it.

In front of hundreds of transit passengers (and even captured on video by a few people) a stupid transit police officer executed a young Black man [called Grant] who was unarmed, lying face down pinned to the floor by another officer with his knee to the neck. The execution (shot into the back) itself was also widely shown on local TV and is available on the Internet at numerous sites, for instance at YouTube.

It's a bit similar to the August 17, 2005 British Metropolitan police execution of Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes in the London Tube, by a squad that had just come back from police assault training in Israel, with an element of the "Rodney King" brutality in Los Angeles thrown in. There has already been a riot over this just over a day ago.

Here's the interesting thing: Not only was the officer never even questioned about the incident, he has yet to even be criminally charged, nine days afterwards, even though it is obvious from the tape that there was no reason to attempt to use even a taser, much less a pistol.

UC Berkeley: Israeli Expert Helps BART Conduct Counterterror Training

by Emma Gutierrez

AS part of a four-day training session with an Israeli counterterrorism expert, the BART Police Department SWAT Team demonstrated how to take down a potential suicide bomber last week. BART police hired Aaron Cohen, founder and managing director of the Israeli Military Specialists, following increased concerns about public transportation becoming the target of terrorism after bomb attacks on public transit systems in Madrid and London in 2004 and 2005, respectively. (Daily Californian)

For a simple explanation for all this, see this link. This is an Israeli run SWAT training outfit. Note the nice BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) logo down at the bottom.
Also, note this story, confirming where the BART officers get their attitudes
